Day - 1

Sorrento

Pick up at the airport, reach the hotel in Sorrento (1h) and start exploring the village. Wander around the main square, browsing the lively center, and admiring the views from the harbor. Sample some of the local delicacies, such as buffalo mozzarella and limoncello. Enjoy a romantic dinner at one of the many trattorias that line the waterfront (we know the best restaurants and trattorias in the area and we can make reservations for you!).

Day - 2

Positano, Amalfi & Ravello

Pick up at the hotel to explore the popular seaside villages. Get lost in the tiny streets of Positano, gazing at art galleries and shopping the local stylish outfit with flowers shirts and leather sandals. Visit the imponent Cathedral in Amalfi before heading to hilltop Ravello. On the edge of the pedestrian stone village, Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone clings to the cliffs with spectacular swoon-inducing sea views. It’s possible to reserve a panoramic restaurant hosted in an ancient monastery, if you will depart early from Sorrento in order to reach Ravello at lunch time.

Day - 3

Capri

Take the hydrofoil (on your own) to reach Capri and enjoy a full day in the island of VIPs. Reach Anacapri by bus or taking a typical cabriolet-taxi. Enjoy breathtaking views from the chairlift to Monte Solaro. Walk down the cobbled street to chic ‘La Piazzetta’ and then to Punta Tragara along the lemon trees scented path. Take one of the small boats waiting for tourists at the port to visit the blue grotto or to circumnavigate the island before taking the ferry back to Sorrento.

DAy - 4

Pompeii & Herculaneum

Take the train to reach Pompeii and then Herculaneum (on your own). Explore these beautiful archaeological sites in the Unesco world heritage list. Discover the lifestyle at the Roman time walking around the two cities covered by lava (Pompeii) and by ash (Herculaneum). It’s possible to reserve a private guide in advance.

Day - 5

Naples

Take the hydrofoil to reach Naples (on your own). Visit the old city center (Spaccanapoli), San Gregorio Armeno and Santa Chiara Monastery. Learn about the miracle of St Gennaro in the Cathedral and admire the Veiled Christ in the Cappella di San Severo. Do not miss the classic wood-oven Margherita and the delicious pastries (Sfogliatella and Baba’) with the shortest coffee of your life. It’s possible to reserve a guide in advance.

Day - 6

Flight back

Pick up at the hotel and transfer to the airport, stopping on your way for a last visit (a winery or an archaeological site), if your flight back would allow!

    Romantic getaways, honeymoons, family reunions, groups of friends.
  • Best time to go
    The area is fascinating the whole year around. However, villages are lively from April until October when the weather is warm and sunny. Swimming is possible from June until October. I personally would go in November, still warm and sunny but more authentic and also cheaper!
  • Budget
    Prices highly depend upon seasonality. Consider a budget from €5k+ per couple including

Hi Barbara! We are sitting down having lunch before our tour of Pompei and wanted to tell you how much we are enjoying our trip so far.The hotel in Rome was perfectly located and such a lovely spot! Our first dinner in Rome was at Restaurant MonteCarlo was really good and we loved our tour with Edwardo. Julia and Clara’s fav spot was the trevi fountain. We lucked out at the Pantheon and got a really good tour guide (and skipped the lines). We managed to get to the basillica without much of a wait (about 30 min - maybe less).I am so happy that you recommended Herculeum. So impressive! We are having pizza every meal and loving it!

Hello Barbara! Now that we have settled in at home, I wanted to once again thank you for your help in planning an amazing trip to Italy. We had the absolute best time and only wish we could have stayed longer. Everyone we met along the way could not have been nicer. We felt like we were among lifelong friends! We did get to travel to to meet my ancestors’ family and visit the home where my great-grandfather lived-it was amazing! We actually met a woman from our hometown who moved back to Italy 25 years ago! She graduated from high school with my husband’s brother!! What a coincidence!
